2nd December

Kingston Library

This Christmas, Kingston upon Thames launches the Kingston Children’s Literary Festival and invites children and parents alike to listen to some of their favourite festive and non-festive tales from a line up some of the UK’s best-loved children’s authors in the lead-up to Christmas.

Join Katherine Webber for a 30 minute reading from her book, Wing Jones.

Wing Jones, set in the run-up to the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, is about a girl called Wing who, having one grandmother from China and another from Ghana, often feels caught between worlds. But when tragedy strikes, Wing discovers a talent for running she never knew she had.

Recommended for ages 12+, this event is completely free of charge. The reading will be held at Kingston Children’s Library.

Children must be accompanied at all times.

The library is an incredible resource for books, fiction and non-fiction and large print.
