This Christmas, Kingston upon Thames launches the Kingston Children’s Literary Festival and invites children and parents alike to listen to some of their favourite festive and non-festive tales from a line up some of the UK’s best-loved children’s authors in the lead-up to Christmas.

Join Pete Johnson for a 30 minute reading from his book, How to update your parents.

Pete is the author of over 50 books, including the bestselling How to Train Your Parents. His books have won various awards including the Young Telegraph Award and the Brilliant Book Award, and have been translated into 24 languages. Pete is a regular visitor to schools and libraries. He is particularly well known for his lively interactive talks promoting reading for pleasure.

Recommended for ages 9-11, this event is completely free of charge. The reading will be held at Waterstones in Bentall Centre Kingston. Please note children may be seated on the floor, some soft cushions will be provided.

Children must be accompanied at all times.
