Family fun

Kingston has it all for a fun day out with the whole family. Kingfisher boasts some great facilities for adults and children alike including a café to unwind in post-splash.

April to October, Turk Launches run up-to 45 boat trips daily along the scenic river Thames with their eye-catching fleet of boats. Perfect for tired legs!

The Rotunda has lunch covered with 7 restaurants under one roof as well as a 15 screen Odeon cinema and TenPin Bowling. Jellybugs is the perfect place to burn some of the kids’ energy with softplay facilities for children aged 7 and under, as well as a café area for mum and dad serving all manner of food made fresh on-site.

 


Art and Culture

Kingston is a hub for art and culture with the Rose Theatre hosting a full programme of shows and special events throughout the year including some of the biggest names in theatre.

Kingston Museum and History Centre host regular exhibitions detailing the history and heritage of Kingston including a permanent exhibit of the private collection of Eadweard Muybridge, the Godfather of motion picture. 

The town is also home to the famous Out of Order installation of 12 tumbling telephone boxes, created by renowned artist David Mach.


After Dark

Kingston’s club scene features an eclectic mix of sophisticated hangouts, student clubs and multi-room mega venues. If you're looking for a club head to Pryzm, Kingston's largest club, whilst nearby The Hippodrome offers classic dance floor fillers and chart favourites. The Viper Rooms located Kingston Bridge is a fantastic party club or for a more intimate venue try Bacchus Late Bar on Union Street for alternative tunes.

Banquet Records in Kingston hosts regular live performances from up and coming artists and offers the perfect opportunity to spot the UK’s next big thing in music. Gigs are held at a range of venues in the town from the Banquet Records store to All Saints Church and The Hippodrome.
